The Accelerated Master of Science in Business Analytics and Project Management (MSBAPM), previously known as the 4+1 Analytics track, is an advanced program offered to UConn undergraduate students from any campus, with in-residence courses offered in Hartford and Stamford, 100% online, or a customized mix of both. This program is designed for students pursuing a wide range of majors—including, but not limited to, Analytics and Information Management, Business Data Analytics, Computer Science, Economics, Engineering, and Management—and all UConn undergraduates are encouraged to apply.
Through this accelerated pathway, UConn undergraduates can save time and money by beginning graduate-level coursework in business analytics, project management, and artificial intelligence, including AI-driven analytics and data-informed decision making, while completing their bachelor's degree. Students who complete the program are well positioned to advance into the nationally top-ranked MS in Business Analytics and Project Management, gaining in-demand skills at the intersection of analytics, AI, and project leadership.

Accelerated MS in BAPM at a Glance
- Locations: Hartford or Stamford or 100% Online
- Length: Students admitted to the Accelerated MS in Business Analytics and Project Management program can jumpstart their MS BAPM degree by completing between six and twelve graduate-level credits. Plus, upon successful completion, they’ll qualify for an additional course waiver in the MS BAPM program, maximizing their academic progress.
- Course Fees: Undergraduate students can take MSBAPM courses at no additional cost, provided they stay within their credit limit. Once enrolled in the MSBAPM program, tuition is billed at $1,250 per credit for the 2026-2027 academic year.

Curriculum Overview
The Accelerated MS in Business Analytics allows students to complete up to four undergraduate courses before transitioning into the remaining credits of the graduate degree. This program combines rigorous business analytics courses with cutting-edge electives that explore the latest data applications. The result is an innovative and advanced business analytics curriculum that prepares graduates for success in a data-driven world, making them highly attractive to employers seeking top talent in the field.
Eligible Classes
Students will need to take and pass:
- OPIM 5603 – Statistics in Business Analytics
- and one of the following two courses: OPIM 5604 – Predictive Analytics (co-requisite OPIM 5603) OR OPIM 5270 – Introduction to Project Management
Students, if desired, may take up to two additional courses from the following eligible options:
- OPIM 5604 – Predictive Modeling
- OPIM 5270 – Introduction to Project Management
- OPIM 5272 – Data Management and Business Process Modeling
This streamlined curriculum ensures students gain essential skills in analytics, project management, and data-driven decision-making.
Students must also fulfill the Technical Communications foundational knowledge requirement by earning a bachelor's degree with an Affiliated Major or Minor, or “B” or better in OPIM 5601, or an engineering Senior Design course, or other relevant coursework subject to MSBAPM Director approval.

Eligibility Requirements
Required prerequisites:
- 3.0 minimum cumulative GPA
- 54 completed credits
- Demonstrated quantitative rigor in undergraduate coursework
This program is designed for students pursuing various majors, including, but not limited to, Analytics and Information Management, Business Data Analytics, Computer Science, Economics, Engineering, and Management, while all UConn undergraduates are encouraged to apply.
Courses from eligible classes in which students have earned a grade of 'B' or higher may be transferred into the MSBAPM program. During their final undergraduate semester, students must submit a graduate application to the MSBAPM program to begin in any fall, spring, or summer semester. Once admitted, accelerated students will follow a streamlined, reduced credit-plan of study.
